Mike's performance on the course has allowed him to be enshrined into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, he received the 2007 Order of Canada, which is Canada’s highest civilian honor and his on course success includes  eight career PGA Tour victories, including a 2003 Masters which was the first and only major championship won by a Canadian.   While these honors are significant, his contributions off the course are equally impressive.

Mike has founded the Mike Weir Estate Winery in Niagara, a top end Golf Apparel line and a golf design company, but perhaps most importantly, the Mike Weir Foundation has be successful in providing benefits to Children in need throughout Canada and since its inception has raised more than $5 million for children's wellness with over $3 million of support being provided for children's health care and related causes.

Continuing in his support for kids in Canada, Mike has also created The Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids which is one of the largest golf fundraisers in Canada and has already generated almost $2 million to help support children.  This annual golf event helps generate funds for The Children's Miracle Network and its 14 children's hospital members in Canada who provide critical care, research and education and treat over 2.6 million children each year.   In 2011, Thomson Reuters is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of this event in Toronto.

Mike is a performer on and off the golf course, and for these reasons, we celebrate Mike's accomplishments and we are proud of our association.
