THOMSON REUTERS SALES AND TRADING

WHAT WE DO

Thomson Reuters Sales and Trading delivers a powerful combination of content, transaction and collaboration services to financial market professionals on the trading floor, across both the buy side and sell side. We provide market-leading decision support, liquidity discovery, trade and post-trade tools across all asset classes to a community of over 200,000 professionals in 34,000 locations globally.

Leveraging best-of-breed assets from both Thomson and Reuters, we will create powerful, new integrated propositions. The combination of leading content and transactions capabilities in fixed income, equities, treasury and commodities and energy from both companies enables us to deliver even greater value to our customers.

Our priorities

Our focus is on converging, over time, all of our content, transactions and collaboration capabilities onto a single platform, wherever possible. This platform will deliver focused propositions to our customers, enabling them to achieve their business objectives efficiently across the trading workflow. Our initial focus will be on:

Helping our customers maximize their value from Thomson Reuters by focusing on the additional value that can be delivered immediately from the combination of the two companies. We will then continually increase the value we deliver and make it easier to access our most relevant propositions and latest enhancements.

Providing access to deeper liquidity by developing new transactions services and trading models, providing more sophisticated execution management capabilities and broadening the access to liquidity pools.

Launching new, enhanced desktop propositions that focus specifically on end-user needs and are innovative, much easier to use and customizable, with richer content that customers can find more easily and act upon. They will be accessible at the office, at home and on the move.

Developing powerful collaboration tools that help our customers create active communities and find new ways to work with fellow market participants and commentators – for example, by facilitating the interchange of ideas and opportunities, or creating networks and interest groups around particular markets or events.

Simplifying everything we do so that we can deliver higher levels of infrastructure resilience, service and support, whilst at the same time helping our customers address the overall costs of their operations.

What this means for you

Our customers will already be experiencing some immediate benefits from the merger, but many great new capabilities and content sets will become available over time.

Here we set our strategy for the four key market areas we serve: exchange traded instruments, fixed income, treasury and commodities and energy.

This is an exciting time for Thomson Reuters and we are committed to helping our customers be successful and powering the financial markets.
