- put a large share of our corporate philanthropy behind the programs and organizations that our employees care about, offering matching gifts and paid time off for volunteering.
- sponsor the efforts of professional and bar associations in promoting diversity in the law.
- offer free Westlaw - some US$20 million worth this year alone - to our customers for their pro bono work, furthering human rights, equal justice and the rule of law in the process.
- have stepped up our longstanding efforts to lessen our impact on the environment and promote sustainable business practices, and
- put a lot of energy into being a good partner and business citizen in the communities where we work and live.

On a Mission:
It's not enough to say we do pro bono work - as a signatory to the Corporate Pro Bono Challenge our own Legal Department expresses our commitment to making it a priority.
We also promote a strong culture of volunteerism - Local volunteerism is a key component of our Corporate Responsibility (CR) program. Our global corporate volunteering policy allows employees to give a minimum of one paid day per year - across our Legal businesses alone, 1,800 volunteer days were donated just last year.
