King County (Washington State)

Thomson Reuters is currently providing technical advice and assistance in evaluating the health and financial impact of King County’s employee health and wellness program.  Beginning with enthusiastic support from their executive staff, the County implemented a well-rounded employee wellness program several years ago. County leaders perceived the initial costs of the program as an important investment in the future health of employees.  Now, three years after the program has been implemented, County administrators are carefully evaluating program impact on employees’ changes in health risk over time, as measured in the yearly health risk assessment (HRA), for the County’s 20,000 employees and dependents.
