West LegalEdcenter Meets Urgent Need to Complete Illinois Basic Skills Course
EAGAN, Minn.
Time may be running out for new attorneys in Illinois to complete a required Basic Skills Course, one of the components of the recently adopted Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) rules. A newly admitted attorney must fulfill the basic skills requirement within one year of admission to practice in Illinois. West LegalEdcenter (www.westlegaledcenter.com) is the only Illinois-accredited provider offering an online option for attorneys nearing their deadline.
The Illinois-accredited Basic Skills Course, “I’m a Lawyer: Now What? New Lawyer Tool Kit – Basic Skills for the New Attorney in Illinois,” is available on-demand at West LegalEdcenter, offering attorneys the flexibility needed when it comes to crunch time. The course not only meets the MCLE requirement, but also provides relevant, practical information all new attorneys need. Course topics include:
• How to act like a professional.
• How to benefit from relationships with opposing counsel.
• Managing your practice.
• Writing so readers understand.
