Serengeti Tracker Unveils New User Interface

First initiative under leadership of new general manager of Serengeti, Legal Department Management

Bellevue, Wash. Sept. 17, 2012 – Serengeti Law, part of Thomson Reuters and provider of Serengeti TrackerTM – the legal profession’s most widely used and highest rated e-billing and matter management platform – announced it has updated Serengeti Tracker with a new user interface. The new interface was designed to improve the user’s workflow and navigation, while making the service more readable and visually appealing.

"Serengeti Tracker has been the market leader for e-billing and matter management for corporate legal departments for some time, helping clients manage their legal matters and relationships with outside firms,” said Jeff Hodge, general manager for Serengeti and Legal Department Management (LDM) at Thomson Reuters. “With this enhancement to the user interface, we are continuing to help clients be more efficient in their workflow, deliver a product that offers them ease of use and provide them with the information they need the right way.”

Now, the matter profile page is enhanced with improved tabular navigation and action items pertaining to matters. Tracker also made the rate and performance comparison charts and data easier to navigate and analyze with multiple graphic displays and analytics to help clients better manage their budgets and control legal spend.

According to Hodge, clients will now see a clean and simple sign-on page which will take them to their upgraded dashboard. That dashboard offers improved access to information on matters through optimized tabs, time entry and more.

Hodge, who has more than 20 years of experience in the legal, business and technology industries, joined Thomson Reuters in July. In his new role, he will oversee the continued growth of Serengeti, as well as manage a broader portfolio of initiatives to improve legal department operations.

Serengeti Tracker is web-based software used to manage matters, invoices, budgets, status reports and documents from outside counsel firms, which include 100 percent of both the AmLaw 200 and Global 100.
