WestlawNext Case Evaluator Goes Mobile

Users can now access the industry-leading reporting tool from their mobile devices

Eagan, Minn., Nov. 5, 2012—Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, is launching the mobile application of WestlawNext’s powerful reporting tool, Case Evaluator. The new format will allow users to quickly research valuable information about similar cases from wherever they are – in court, in negotiations, while commuting or waiting for a flight.

Case Evaluator arms users with important information that enables them to evaluate potential cases, devise negotiation and settlement strategies, and analyze verdict trends in specific jurisdictions, among other features.

Now available in a mobile version, Case Evaluator users can receive comparable case  information in a clean and simple interface via their mobile devices. And while the mobile version doesn’t contain the full suite of Case Evaluator functionality, it’s been specifically designed to offer features that are most useful in on-the-go situations.

Users of the mobile version can view reports that show various case awards data, including awards by party (that includes a graphical display), an analysis of award amounts and awards data organized by the type of criteria selected by the user. The mobile version also enables users to email PDF versions of Case Evaluator reports.

“Having this type of application on a mobile device is essential to the work of today’s attorneys, and offering this to our customers is just another example of how Thomson Reuters is continually striving to ensure they have access to the best data in the most efficient formats,” said Connie Hall, manager, Product Development. “Customers can now access the unmatched benefits of Case Evaluator from anywhere they need to, particularly in places where well-informed decisions and strategy really count, such as the courtroom and in settlement negotiations.”

The mobile version of Case Evaluator is available on small-format devices such as the iPhone and Android smartphones.
