ASHRAE Selects Techstreet As Its Online Store Partner

New digital content marketplace for HVAC&R launches, powered by advanced Techstreet platform

New York, NY July 15, 2010 – Techstreet, part of Thomson Reuters, announced today its partnership with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to launch a new online marketplace for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) professionals at http://ashrae.org/bookstore. Techstreet created the architecture for the site and is hosting this global online store, which provides ASHRAE standards, guidelines, research and other critical industry information.

HVAC&R professionals can now efficiently search the entire ASHRAE collection of standards and guidelines; books, including the ASHRAE Handbook, and CDs; journal articles; and conference papers. The site also features a huge collection of third-party codes, standards and HVAC&R books from critical industry organizations. Users can also print, order print copies or download digital editions from the site.

“Partnering with Techstreet is a major step forward for our 51,000-member organization,” said Steve Comstock, director of publishing and education of ASHRAE. “Techstreet provides a state-of-the-art system for managing our information holdings and gives heating and cooling professionals a convenient, reliable means to access business-critical data. Plus, we have the opportunity to work with Techstreet to add new value-added services and new technology for members in the future.”

“The advantage Techstreet offers its partners is truly unique,” said Todd Fegan, vice president and general manager of Techstreet. “Not only do we provide and successfully deploy cutting-edge Web and e-commerce technologies, but every partnership is tailored to the specific needs of the organization. We work collaboratively to understand their strategic direction and develop solutions that will grow with them into the future.”
