Thomson Tax & Accounting Kicks Off Annual User Conference for Corporate Tax Professionals in Orlando, Florida

Carrollton, Texas

Thomson Tax & Accounting kicks off its 2007 User Conference for Corporate Tax Professionals in Orlando, Florida beginning Sunday, Oct. 28th.

"Our User Conference for Corporate Tax Professionals is one of the largest of its kind with approximately 800 corporate tax professionals expected to participate in more than 200 educational sessions," said Brian Peccarelli, president of Corporate Software & Services for Thomson Tax & Accounting, a business segment of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC). "By the end of the four-day information-packed conference, tax professionals will have expanded their knowledge of current tax law changes, learned about the latest trends in corporate tax departments, and advanced their technical and research skills to improve workflow efficiencies."

Staff experts from Thomson Tax & Accounting, a segment of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), will provide users with up-to-date information on InSource ®, Tax Partners ®, ePropertyTax ®, CrossBorder Solutions, and Checkpoint ®, and how to increase efficiency and reduce the burden of complex tax regulations. Clients can learn how these software and service solutions can be used to their best advantage when preparing returns for corporate income tax, sales tax, property tax, and transfer pricing.

Participants can earn up to 19 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits by mixing and matching sessions from five tracks: Tax Law & Research, Managing the Corporate Tax Department, Income Tax and Transfer Pricing, Property Tax, and Sales & Transaction Tax. Additionally, attendees will have opportunities for networking with peers in the tax industry and Thomson Tax & Accounting representatives at social events such as a concert by the classic-rock band Three Dog Night.
