Thomson Reuters Announces Updates to Planner CS™
New release gives accountants tool to help clients plan for economic stimulus impact
The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters today announced updates to its Planner CS program that include provisions for the recently enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
“With the long-term effects of this unprecedented economic stimulus package as yet unknown, tax planning is more important than ever,” said Teresa Mackintosh, CPA.CITP, senior vice president, Professional Software & Services for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. “Our Planner CS software has been updated to reflect the tax law changes caused by ARRA’s passage, so tax preparers can be confident that their information is completely up to date as they help their clients plan for the future. Given the dramatic change in circumstances and assumptions that individuals are absorbing, it’s absolutely critical to re-evaluate tax situations.”
Planner CS offers accountants an ideal tool for adding high-value tax planning services to their service portfolios, allowing preparers to create an unlimited number of scenarios over any number of years, analyze numerous tax strategies at many levels of detail, and communicate results easily with a variety of presentation tools. The software automatically imports client data directly from UltraTax CS and GoSystem Tax RS to minimize data entry.
