Thomson Tax & Accounting's UltraTax CS is First to Receive Approval for Oregon 1120 Electronic Filing

Thomson Tax & Accounting, a business segment of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), announced today that the company’s UltraTax CS product was the first to receive approval by the Oregon Department of Revenue for 1120 electronic filing for the current filing season.

Over the last few years, Thomson Tax & Accounting has received significant recognition for leadership in the area of electronic filing. In 2005, approximately 50% of electronically filed business returns were processed and e-filed using UltraTax CS. The company was also selected as the exclusive provider of electronic filing for the Regional Income Tax Agency of Ohio (RITA) for 2005 returns. In 2007, the company was the first to receive approval from California state officials for 1065 electronic filing.
