Tax & Accounting Announces Expanded Integration Between Engagement ES™ And Capital Confirmation
The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters, formerly Thomson Tax & Accounting, announces expanded integration between its leading paperless engagement application, Engagement ES, and Capital Confirmation’s CONFIRM™ technology, which provides a fully automated and secure online confirmation process. This enhancement enables users to launch Capital Confirmation from within the Engagement ES workspace and directly insert PDF- and Excel-based reports into the engagement.
“The enhanced integration with Capital Confirmation embeds the confirmation procedure within Engagement ES, which further streamlines an already efficient electronic engagement process, and addresses the escalating need to securely authenticate parties in the transaction,” said Teresa Mackintosh, CPA.CITP, Senior Vice President, CS Professional Suite, Thomson Reuters, Tax & Accounting.
CONFIRM technology provides an efficient automated confirmation process that ensures privacy and security of confirmation communications and offers a sound infrastructure for authenticating all parties involved in the confirmation. Direct access to validated responders increases the reliability of the confirmation response and has been shown to significantly improve efficiency through shortened turnaround times.
“The leverage created by this expanded integration between the CONFIRM service and Engagement ES provides auditors with a unique and improved opportunity to manage the entire audit workflow from a single source location. Coupled with the support to use electronic confirmations through the professional guidance issued in 2007, auditors will see a significant reduction in the time spent on confirmations with this latest enhancement,” said Brian Fox, CPA, Vice President of Corporate Development, Capital Confirmation, Inc.
Engagement ES is part of the Enterprise Suite, the broadest line of integrated tax and accounting software available for large firms. For more information about Engagement ES or any product within the Enterprise Suite, please visit ES.thomson.com/.
