MIAMI - The Thomson Reuters Community, an online networking platform exclusively for the company’s tax technology customers, was launched this week during SYNERGY 2013, an annual conference for users of the Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE suite of tax software solutions.

“Our new online community enables customers to engage with their peers from across the industry in a secure environment and share ideas and best practices,” said Tobias Lee, chief marketing officer for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. “It’s the latest step in our continuing commitment to deliver a valuable customer experience.”

Alexis Aimard, tax technology lead for Lexmark, a global provider of printing and imaging products, software and services, said: “The online community is giving me a place to ask questions about complex scenarios and get answers from my peers in other companies and from the Thomson Reuters team.”

The conference took place at the Fontainebleau resort in Miami Beach and featured a keynote session with Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics and subject of the book and movie Moneyball.

More than 1,200 corporate tax professionals attended hundreds of educational sessions during the three-day conference. The event is one in a series of tax and accounting conferences for Thomson Reuters customers taking place around the world this season. I believe your organizations’ success depends on it,” Peccarelli told attendees. “We are working hard to help by creating automated workflow processes . . . that maximize your productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.”
