Thomson Reuters Executive Named President of the American Payroll Association

DEXTER, Michigan Jim Paille, the director of compliance for Thomson Reuters myPay Solutions, is the new president of the American Payroll Association (APA). He will serve in the role until May 2017.

The APA, with more than 20,000 members, is a leader in payroll education and training.

“Technological advances, the rise of millennials in the workforce and other factors are disrupting the accounting profession – including the payroll processing sector,” said Jon Baron, managing director, Professional segment, Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting. “As a result, organizations are rethinking their business models and turning to advocates with the ideas, skills and expertise to lead during this time of rapid evolution. Jim Paille is one such leader.”

Paille has been a member of the APA since it was founded in 1982 and served on its board of directors for the past 11 years. He brings to the position a wealth of knowledge from an accounting and finance career that spans 40 years.
