  • What products are covered?

    Re-registration through the new Central Registration & Login process covers all users of the following products:

  • How do I re-register?

    When you log in to any of these products you will be redirected to the new Central Registration and Login area, where you will be guided through a simple process to create a Central account by updating your email, username, password and personal details.

  • What if I use more than one of these products?

    When you are redirected to the Central Registration and Login area you can select all the products you use and update them all at once.

  • What will I gain by re-registering?

    The purpose of the re-registration process is to create a Central account for the products listed above. Once you have created a Central account you will be able to update your email address and personal details in one place for multiple products, rather than having to make the changes in each individual product. A Central account means that you’ll have a single username and password for any of the above listed products that you have access to.

    The re-registration process also gives you the option to select which important product communications you may want to receive.

  • How will I know if it’s worked?

    You’ll get a confirmation email to ensure your email address is correct and to provide you with a temporary password. You’ll then be able to log in (where you’ll first be prompted to change your password) and continue as before.

  • What will happen to my alerts and searches?

    • If you use IDdb, you’ll need to transfer your alerts and searches as part of the re-registration process. They are listed in the Central Registration and Login area. You can select which ones you want to keep or delete.
    • If you use Newport, you need to record your searches somewhere safe so that you can re-enter them after the new release goes live. Saved searches are stored locally on users’ machines, and we will not be able to convert them as part of the upgrade.

  • Is there any time limit on re-registration?

    No, but you must re-register before 1 June 2009 if you want to keep your existing IDdb alerts and searches. If you have not re-registered before that date, they will be lost.

  • What email address should I use?

    Your email address can be different to that of your existing account,as long as it is a valid email address. Please use a valid corporateemail address rather than a personal email address.

  • When I re-register can I use my existing username?

    Yes, as long as no-one else has already created a Central account with that username and it is five or more characters long.

  • What happens if I have access to two products, but don’t register both together?

    You will simply need to then log into the other product, which will take you through the process again. This time when you enter your email address, the system will know that they have already created a central account.

  • What happens if I want to merge multiple accounts for one product?

    If you have multiple accounts for one product, to merge them you simply need to repeat the registration process for each additional username using the same email address. All your email alerts and saved searches will be transferred even if they are duplicated.

  • Will there be seamless linking between products?

    At this time, you won’t be able to link automatically between different products; however, this is the long-term goal for some of the products that exist on the same technology platform.

    If you log into Thomson Pharmain one window, then open KOLexperts in a second window but in the SAME browser, you will automatically be logged into KOLExperts and will notneed to enter your login details again. In this situation, logging outof one product, will log you out of both products.

    If you log into Thomson Pharmain one browser, then open KOLexperts in a separate browser, you will need to enter your login details again. In this situation, logging outof one product, will NOT log you out of both products.
