Litigator has practical tools for evaluation, pleading preparation, arguing motions, trial preparation, and more. It gives you the power you need to present a polished case.

Work in Litigator

You can do the following in Litigator:
  1. Search Litigator content using the search box or select
    Advanced
    from the toolbar to get a template with fields customized to the content you've selected on the page.
  2. Go to
    Pleadings, Motions and Facta/Briefs
    to get documents that are prepared and filed in court by Canadian lawyers.
  3. Do a search in
    Quantum Services
    to determine the worth of your client's claim.
  4. Select
    Legal Memoranda
      to get professionally drafted legal memoranda; rule annotations and practice commentary from Thomson Reuters’ authors; commentary on witness, evidence, and advocacy topics; and annotated litigation checklists.
  5. Go to
    Legal Directories
    to get profiles on expert witnesses, lawyers, and mediator/arbitrators.
  6. Go to
    Rules Concordance
    to compare similar legislation in other jurisdictions to help you interpret and understand the law.
  7. Go to the
    Resources
    column on the right to get:
    • An analysis of the latest class actions, as well as case updates, news, and articles from the Kim Spencer McPhee Class Action Monitor.
    • Awareness tools for updates on case developments and legislation from Practice Advisors.
    • Expert practical guidance on personal injury matters from the Ontario Personal Injury Damages Calculator and its User Guide.
