Search the Canadian Encyclopedic Digest

The Canadian Encyclopedic Digest, or CED, helps you research unfamiliar areas of law. It's organized by subject titles and classifications, and it references tens of thousands of case law authorities and statutory provisions.
  1. Select
    Canadian Encyclopedic Digest
    under Commentary on the homepage.
  2. Enter your search in the search field and select
    the search icon
    .
    Select a subject to browse or search classifications for that subject. You can also select
    Specify Content to Search
    to filter your search to specific subjects.
  3. You can enter text under
    Search within results
    to search within your results and refine your search in addition to other filters.
  4. Select a title and go to the full text document.
  5. On a document's page, you can browse additional legal topics in the sidebar that includes Practical Law Canada material.
You can also any available CED references from a decision. Select
CED
from the
Citing References
tab.
