Error: FRS 102 iXBRL Warning – value equality constraint in Accounts Production Advanced

Scenario

You may get an iXBRL warning message like the following one that relates to the Stocks note for an FRS102 client in Accounts Production Advanced.
Error message
iXBRL Warning The values for concept Raw materials and consumables do not satisfy a value equality constraint Value = (1,000), Start of Current Period Value = 9,000, End of Prior Period Click to go to the referenced value:(1,000)

The example error message contains values and a link to the referenced value. Other similar warnings may not contain the values and the links to the referenced value. To solve the problem, you must make a note of whether the error message contains a link to the referenced value or not.

Cause

In the example above, the error message is caused by a figure posted to Raw materials in the Stocks note that does not match the figure posted to Raw materials in the iXBRL Detailed Profit and Loss.

Solution

You can either change the figures to match or, if you do not want the figures to match, you can take the following steps.
  1. Check the iXBRL warning message and make a note of whether it contains a link to the referenced value.
  2. Open the report and select the
    Report Structure
    tab.
  3. Expand the
    Financial Statements
    ,
    Notes to the Financial Statements
    , and
    Stocks folders
    .
  4. Right-click the
    Inventories
    folder, then select
    Properties
    from the context menu.
  5. Select
    XML Source
    .
  6. Delete the existing XML code.
  7. Download one of the following text files that contain replacement XML:
    1. If the warning message included a link to a referenced value, download our Stocks Note Replacement text file.
    2. If the warning message did not include a link to a reference value, download our Stock Note Root text file.
  8. Paste all the replacement XML code from the text file you've download into the
    XML Source
    window.
  9. Select
    OK
    .
  10. If the error continues to appear in the report, close the report, then open it again.
