Error: failed to save program to cache file in Personal Tax
Scenario
You may get the following error message when you create a report in Personal, Business and Trust Tax.
Error message
Failed to save program to cache file.
Solution
- Close all Digita applications.
- Open Windows Explorer and go toC:\ProgramData\Digita\SharedData\noteTheProgramDatafolder is usually hidden. To access it, enter the path in the address bar use the show hidden files option.
- Rename theSharedDatafolder.noteFor example, add-oldto the end of the folder name.
- Open Personal, Business and Trust Tax.

When you next open Personal, Business and Trust Tax, the application will re-create the
SharedData
folder with the appropriate permissions. You should then be able to run the report without the cache file error.
