We'll soon be updating Personal, Business and Trust Tax to help you with Basis Period Reform. At present, the
Transition Profits
 tab on the
Partnership Income
 and
Sole Trade
 windows is currently in a beta version. There are also 2 reports related to Basis Period Reform:
  • Transition Profits
    : This details the entire process for calculating the Transition Profit Spread payment for the year.
  • Transition Profits Tax Comparison
    : This illustrates the computation of the tax charge for the year and the basis for this calculation.
When we release version 24.0 by 19 April 2024, we'll enhance the
Transition Profits
 tab to include full features and introduce new reports. We'll give you more information at the time of release, including training materials and articles to help you use the new features.
