TR HighQ app for Microsoft Teams

The
TR HighQ
messaging extension for Microsoft Teams allows HighQ Collaborate users to share files, folders and sites with other users in a Microsoft Teams personal chat, group chat or Teams channel, and upload files to a HighQ site directly from the Microsoft Teams app (desktop or mobile).

Finding the app in the Teams App Store

Open
Microsoft Teams
. Select
Apps
at the bottom of the Teams window.
Search for 'TR HighQ' in the Microsoft Teams App Store.
Click the
TR HighQ
card to display the store listing.

Installation

The store listing displays details about functionality, along with permissions required to run the app. Select
Add
to start the installation.
In Microsoft Teams, the TR HighQ actions menu should open in your current chat session; tap either
Share content from HighQ
or
Upload file to HighQ
from the actions menu to start the login process.
Microsoft Teams displays a splash screen that shows more information about the app. Select
Get started
to continue with the installation.
In the next screen, enter the domain for the instance you are using in your organisation (e.g. collaborate.yourdomain.com). Select
Connect
to continue.

Authentication with your instance

After you have entered a valid instance, the browser opens to complete the authentication process with HighQ. Enter your email address and password for the instance.
In the final step of the authentication process, an authorisation screen opens. Click
Allow
to continue.
When you see an authorisation success message, close the browser and return to Microsoft Teams.

Sharing content from HighQ

If you need to provide access to a HighQ site, folder or file in a private chat or channel conversation (with the exception of private channels, where third-party messaging extensions are disabled), select
HQ
then
Share content from HighQ
.
You see a window that displays content from your HighQ instance; content is listed under three tabs:
Browse
,
Recent
and
Favourites
.
By default, the
Browse
tab is active and shows a list of sites available to you. Click a site to open folders and files.
Click the
Recent
tab to show a list of folders and files you have recently opened or interacted with.
Click the
Favourites
tab to show a list of sites, folders and files you have set as favourites.
Click the radio button next to the folder or file you wish to share.
Select
Next
to open the
Share settings
window. You can apply restrictions that limit how your shared content can be accessed:
  • Use options in the
    Accessible by
menu to limit access to anyone with the link, users within your organisation, any registered system user or anyone with the password (an additional password field is available if this is selected).
  • Use options in the
    Download rights
menu (when sharing files only) to allow recipients of the link to edit, download or print, view your content only or to be able to edit, download, view and print.
    • For the
      View only
      option, toggle
      Watermark
to apply a watermark when users access the document in the document viewer.
    • For the
      Edit, download, view or print
      option, toggle
      Approve new versions
to enable or disable your ability to approve new versions of the document.
  • Use options in the
    Link expires
menu to limit the length of time the content is accessible to
    2
    ,
    7
    or
    30
    days. Alternatively, select
    Never
if you do not need the link to expire.
  • Toggle
Notify me when recipients edit, download, view or print
to receive email alerts when other users access the link and interact with your content.
    .
When you have set restrictions, select
Share link
to create a Share link card in your chat session. The card is not posted immediately, so you can add a message before you click the Send icon under the composition box.
Other participants in your chat session see the card and can click the
View
button. This opens your content from the HighQ instance, in their browser.

Uploading files to HighQ

If you download files from a Microsoft Teams channel or chat session, you can upload those files to a site on your HighQ instance without leaving Microsoft Teams. Select
Upload file to HighQ
from the
HQ
icon; the
Upload file
window opens.
You can either drag and drop a file from your computer's desktop or file explorer, or select
Browse your device
to browse to a file on your computer.
The selected file is shown at the top of the window.
Navigate to a folder in your HighQ instance, then select the radio button next to the folder.
Select
Upload file to HighQ
to copy your file to the specified location. When the upload is complete a tick mark is shown at the end of the progress bar.

Configuring options

Select
Options
from the
HQ
icon to open app settings.
In the
Default share settings
tab, you can define restrictions that are applied by default when sharing content from HighQ in Microsoft Teams.
At the bottom of the
Default share settings
tab, toggle
Show dialog when sharing
to enable or disable the
Share settings
window when you share links in Microsoft Teams (only your default settings are applied).
The
Account information
tab lists your user name, user email and instance name/domain.
To log out of the app, or to switch instances, click the
Logout
button.

Uninstalling the app

You can remove the app at any time; right-click the
HQ
icon under the message composition box and select
Uninstall
.
