Inline edits

Inline editing is available for:
  • number fields
  • single line text fields
  • multi line text field
  • choice and score columns (drop-down, radio and multi select, however this does not include user lookup)
  • For some formats of date fields (DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY)
To edit a column with inline editing, double-click the cell in your iSheet.
When you make changes, any validation you have set up for the particular cell is still applied. If you enter incorrect characters an error message displays.
Errors updating records: 1. Invalid number of total billed. Total Billed - Matter bills tracker.
When you have finished, click anywhere outside of the cell and a message displays on the top right of the screen. This lets you know that a change has been made and allows you to refresh the view.

Inline editing limitations

Date & Time
There are four formats for
Date & Time
:
  1. DD MMM YYYY (12 Jan 2014)
  2. DD/MM/YYYY (12/01/2014)
  3. MM/DD/YYYY (01/12/2014)
  4. DD.MM.YYYY (12.01.2014)
Inline editing is possible only for options 2 and 3, so inline editing is not possible unless this format is changed from the default.
Columns with the 'Other' option
You cannot use inline editing where the 'Other' option is possible.
