Customise the global navigation bar
This section guides system administrators when creating and managing the navigation element.
Turn on global navigation
Open
System admin
from your profile icon:
Click the
Global navigation
drop-down menu and select
On
:
Select
Save
to save your changes.
Add menu items and links
Navigate to your
profile

The System Admin screen opens:
Select
Navigation
. The
Navigation
screen opens:
In this screen, you can either
create
,
edit
or
add new
menu items.
Add menu item
To add a menu item, navigate to
Add menu
>
Menu item
:
The
Add menu item
is displayed:
There are several ways you can add a menu item:
List tab
You can create a navigation menu. In the List tab, you must enter a
Title
,
List Type
and the
No. of columns
that the list will display.
List Type
relates to the list of Modules, e.g. Publications Modules, Comparison Toolkit Modules etc. This displays any active modules of this type.
Browse tab
In the browse tab, you can select the module name to insert the link. Additionally, you can select the
Link to
menu to change the source of the links:
For example, if you select 'Module', you can then choose a module from the second drop-down menu:
External tab
To add an external menu item, you must enter a
Title
, a
URL
to the content, and you need to select how you want the
external link to open
: new window, pop-up window, or the same window.
Custom tab
To add a custom menu item, you need to select a
Container
from the drop-down menu:

A container is only a 'title' and there is no content. It simply enables you to categorise menu items.
Give the menu item a
Title
and enter some
HTML code
into the text box.
Search tab
You can use the search tab to search for and filter content.
Edit menu item
To edit a menu item, navigate to that menu item and then select
More actions
>
Edit details
. The <
Menu item name
> opens:
Edit the details of the menu item and select
Done
once you finish.
Select
Save
to save your changes:
