Run a script on the Digita Suite products on your network or standalone install

Before you run a script on Digita software, we recommend you make a backup of the product database with the
Digita Database Back Up Tool
on your server (if a network install) or main machine (if a standalone install).
  1. Download the ZIP file onto your server if you have a network installation, or onto the main machine if a standalone installation.
  2. Right-click the ZIP file, select
    Properties
from the context menu, mark the
    Unblock
checkbox in the Security section, then select
    OK
    .
  3. Right-click the ZIP file to extract its contents, then select
    Extract All
    from the context menu.
  4. If the extracted files contain a BAT file, take the following steps:
    1. Right-click the
      RUN ME.bat
      file, then select
      Run as administrator
      .
    2. If you get a Windows Security screen, select
      More info
      , then
      Run anyway
      .
    3. Select
      Yes
      .
  5. If there's no BAT file in the extracted files, you'll need to take the following steps to run the script with SQL Server Management Studio:
    1. Make sure all users are signed out of the application.
    2. Make a backup of the database.
    3. If you don't have SQL Server Management Studio, download it from Microsoft.
    4. Once you've selected the relevant database you can select
      Execute
      to run the script
