Common conversion diagnostic messages

The application shows conversion diagnostics when CSA information doesn't transfer to Accounting CS. In some instances, you can prevent these diagnostics by completing pre-conversion steps, such as running the
Conversion Report
and running the
Repair Case of Descriptions
utility.
The application displays a conversion import diagnostic report when it completes the CSA to ACS conversion. Once you close this window, you can't reopen it with Accounting CS. However, you can find a copy on your local computer. Go to
C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Local\Creative Solutions\Accounting CS
.

Address-related diagnostics

During the conversion process, Accounting CS reads and attempts to verify all employee and client addresses. If you skip the
Client and Employee Address Mapping
window during conversion or the address couldn't be verified, you may get a diagnostic and errors when you process payroll in Accounting CS.

Earnings not converted diagnostics

Diagnostics related to earnings are shown when a pay, deduction, or withholding item is found in the global CSA database, but is not found on the employee. For earnings to convert, you'll need to add the withholding item to the employee in CSA and re-convert the client. Alternatively, you may need to add the employee to a new or different location during the conversion, or verify the address correctly on the
Client and Employee Address Mapping
window.

Payroll item diagnostics

These diagnostics are typically diagnostics for your information that you can resolve in Accounting CS after conversion. To prevent these diagnostics, use the
Accounting CS Conversion Report
in the
Utilities
menu prior to conversion.

Accounting diagnostics

Typically, these diagnostics are avoided by completing the pre-conversion steps in our walkthrough article. .
