Enter and clear overrides

By default, overrides remain indefinitely (quarter to quarter and year to year) until they're manually cleared. However, you can save form overrides by period end date for each form type.

Save form overrides by period end date

  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Firm Information
    , then
    Firm
    .
  2. Select the
    Preferences
    tab.
  3. Mark the desired checkboxes under
    Save overrides by period end date for the selected form types
    in the Payroll Tax Forms section.
  4. Select
    Save
    .

Enter form overrides

  1. Select
    Actions
    , then
    Edit Payroll Tax Forms
    .
  2. Select the Form type, Frequency of the form, Quarter, and Year.
  3. Select
    Refresh
    .
  4. Select the Jurisdiction and/or Form to override values on the form or the
    Employee Data
    tab.

Clear form overrides

There are multiple ways to clear form overrides.
In the
Edit Payroll Tax Forms
screen:
  • Select an overridden field, right-click, then select
    Clear Field Override
    to clear the field.
  • Select an overridden field, select
    Edit
    , then
    Clear Override
    to clear the field.
  • Select
    Edit
    , then
    Clear Form Overrides
    to clear all overrides entered on the displaying form.
  • Select
    Edit
    , then
    Clear System Overrides
    to clear all overrides for all forms for the selected jurisdiction.
In the
Process Payroll Tax Forms
screen:
  1. Select the forms you need.
  2. Mark the
    Clear form overrides
    checkbox before previewing or processing the selected forms.
  3. Mark
    Clear employee overrides
    before previewing or processing the selected form to clear all overrides on the Employee Data tab.
