Check the e-file status of electronic forms

After you have processed electronic forms, you can check to see if your files have been accepted or rejected by the tax agency.
  1. Select
    Actions
    , then
    Process Electronic Forms
    .
  2. Select
    Manage Electronic Forms
    .
  3. Use the filters to show only the forms that you want in the Electronic Forms grid.

    The grid lists the forms that have been sent to our secure data centers. The information is sorted by client ID and name, period end date, jurisdiction, and then the form. The current status is listed in the Status column.
  4. Select the ellipsis button next to a form's
    Status
     to show any detail and history regarding the status.

    For rejected forms, you can view the complete rejection code and description, which lists the problems with the file so that you can fix the form and then resubmit it. For accepted forms, you can view the complete acknowledgement, which lists additional details of the acceptance and the postmarked date.

Example of the Electronic File Status report:
Print Preview dialog. The Report shows the following details first: Client ID, Client Name, Jurisdiction, Form, Period End Date, and Payment Effective Date. After those details is a Status table, which shows Time/Date for the following fields: Accepted, Transmitted to agency, Received by data center, and Sent to data centre.
Example of a rejected e-file:
Print Review dialog. Shows the same details as the image of the Electronic File Status report, but in the Status section shows a 'Rejected' section, which gives Time/Date and Detail of the rejection.
