Upload an additional 1099 recipient to IRIS for a client

Before uploading an additional 1099 recipient for a client that other 1099s of the same type were electronically filed, you'll need to have an accepted or rejected acknowledgment for the client in
Manage Files
of the
Process Electronic Forms
screen.
Do the following to upload an additional 1099 for a client after you've uploaded a batch of 1099s to the IRS Information Return Intake System (IRIS):
  1. Select
    Actions
    then
    Edit Payroll Tax Forms
    .
  2. Select the 1099 form and the year.
  3. Select the
    Recipient Data
    tab.
  4. Clear all recipients except the one you need to submit.
  5. Select
    File
    then
    Process Client Forms
    .
  6. Clear the
    Print All Recipients
    checkbox. Select the forms you need to process.
  7. Process the selected form. Select
    Filing Copy
    when you print.
  8. Select
    Actions
    then
    Process Electronic Forms
    to create the new file.
