Payroll compliance

• Connecticut. The Connecticut Department of Labor has implemented a new electronic filing system. If you have Form UC-2 in the Process Electronic Forms screen for any clients, you'll need to remove it and re-process Form UC-2 again in the Process Payroll Tax Forms screen.
• Pennsylvania locals. Effective for tax year 2022, the City of Philadelphia has moved its annual reconciliation to a quarterly filing requirement. All employers are required to electronically file the new quarterly reconciliation Form Philadel_Q. note
  • In communications with the City of Philadelphia, the due dates for filing 2022 first quarter and second quarter returns will continue to be extended.
  • The payroll software industry continues to work closely with the City of Philadelphia on implementing an electronic filing system that supports the new Form Philadel_Q worksheet and bulk filing requirements. We plan to release both the worksheet and bulk file in a future application update.
  • Payments should continue to be made according to the client's deposit frequency with the city to avoid incurring penalties and interest.
