Version 2022.3.1 release notes

We released version 2022.3.1 on October 20, 2022 with the following changes.
On July 12, 2022, Microsoft ended support for SQL Server 2012 and earlier. Therefore, as of the v.2022.2.0
Accounting CS
release, your firm should have SQL Server 2014 or higher installed on the servers that run
Accounting CS
. See Discontinued support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for details and steps you can take to continue using
Accounting CS
without interruption.

General

  • We've updated the sign in experience for integration with Onvio Documents.
    • The Setup, Onvio Documents, Login Information menu item and its corresponding Login Information window have been removed.
    • When needed, the CS Professional Suite Sign In window will automatically display to enter your Thomson Reuters ID credentials.
  • We've renamed the ID field to the Vendor ID field and increased the width of the field for check and payment transactions in the Enter Transactions screen.

Client Access

In efforts to protect your firm against payroll fraud throughout the industry, we've added the
Restrict from Client Access
checkbox to the Banks screen. Mark this checkbox to prevent client staff from selecting the bank in any of the bank fields in their Accounting CS Client Access application. (Idea Incubator #5553)

General - Payroll

  • We've added the ability in the Enter Transactions screen to edit GL accounts on printed payroll checks and handwritten payroll checks for which liabilities have been generated. (Idea Incubator #557)
  • We've made changes to remove zero-amount payroll items and tax items earlier in the output process, during the data gathering stage, when previewing and printing payroll checks and payroll reports. This change will exclude unnecessary zero-amount rows from being displayed and improves the output performance for certain clients using many payroll items and tax items. (Idea Incubator #5636)

Payroll compliance

  • Montana. We plan to remove the Internet filing method from Form UI-5/UI-5G on the v.2022.4.0 release in December. After that release, only the Web fill-in and Electronic filing methods will be available on the forms.
  • Pennsylvania locals
    • Effective for tax year 2022, the City of Philadelphia has moved its annual reconciliation to a quarterly filing requirement. All employers are required to electronically file the new quarterly reconciliation Form Philadel_Q. The payroll software industry continues to work closely with the City of Philadelphia on implementing an electronic filing system that supports the new Form Philadel_Q worksheet and bulk filing requirements. Once it becomes available from the agency, we plan to release the bulk internet file in a future release.
