Version 2024.4.1 release notes

We released version 2024.4.1 on January 9, 2025 with the following changes.

General

Reports

We updated the Tax Code Worksheet accounting report for the 2024 tax year.

General – Payroll

We added the
Client qualifies for increased deferral limit
 checkbox to the Limits section of the
Main
 tab in the
Payroll Items
 screen. This checkbox is only available to be marked on deduction items with a special type of Simple 408(p). (Idea Incubator #8796)

Federal

We updated Form 940 Schedule A.

Alabama

  • We added the following taxes to the City of Birmingham tax agent and removed them from their existing tax agents:
    • Birmingham City Tax
  • We updated the following forms:
    • City of Birmingham – Forms Birmingham_P.R.-1 and Birmingham_P.R.-2

California

We updated Form 1094-C/1095-C internet files.

Kansas

  • We updated the application to accept either the 6-digit or new 10-digit Unemployment ID (formatted as ###### or 0######000) that's now being issued by the Kansas Employment Security Fund.
  • We updated Forms K-CNS 100 and Schedule A, and its internet file.
  • We updated the direct deposit information required to produce an ACH credit file for the
    Kansas Employment Security Fund
     tax agent.

Kentucky

  • We updated the following forms:
    • Campbell County Fiscal Court – Form CC-AR
    • Director of Finance, City of Madisonville – Form Annual
  • The following forms haven’t been released by the agency:
    • Fayette County Public Schools – Form 222-S
    • Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government – Form 222

Maine

  • The Maine Department of Labor has increased the Competitive skills scholarship fund rate (CSSF) to 0.14% and the Unemployment program administrative fund rate (UPAF) to 0.16%, effective January 1, 2025. When you add a new client or add a new unemployment rate record to an existing client, the unemployment fund rates default to 0.14% and 0.16%, respectively, on the
    Payroll Taxes
     tab in the
    Clients
     screen.
  • We updated Form 900ME.

New Hampshire

We updated Forms Tax Report and Wage Report. The Wage Report now displays each employee’s full first name.

North Carolina

We updated Form NC-5P.

Ohio

  • We updated the application to accept the new Withholding ID (formatted as 55-######) that is now being issued by the Ohio Department of Taxation.
  • We added the following taxes to the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) tax agent:
    • Waynesfield City Tax
  • We removed the following taxes from the Central Collection Agency (CCA) tax agent:
    • Waynesfield City Tax
  • The following forms are pending approval:
    • Central Collection Agency (CCA) – Forms CCA-102 and CCA-W3
    • City of Cincinnati Income Tax Division – Form W-3
    • Columbus City Treasurer – Forms IT-13 and IT-13J
