Release dates for payroll tax forms

Payroll tax forms are usually available by the end of the year, quarter, or month for which they are due.
Before you can use the latest forms, you'll need to follow these steps.
  1. Renew your Accounting CS license.
  2. Download your renewed license into Accounting CS.
  3. Select
    Help

    About
     to verify the version of Accounting CS you're using. Compare that version number to what's in the latest user bulletin.
  4. When you open Accounting CS, if you see a notification that a new update is available, use CS Connect to download and apply it.

Estimated form release dates

End of March
:
  • Form 941
  • Forms W-2 and W-3 for new year (all copies except the black-and-white versions of Copy A and W-3)
End of December
:
  • Forms 940, 943, 944, & 945
  • Forms W-2, W-3, and W-2c black-and-white version and internet file
  • Forms 1099 and 1099 Corrected internet files
  • Forms 1094-C and 1095-C and internet files
  • Forms 1094-C corrected and 1095-C Corrected and internet files
  • Forms 1094-C and 1095-C Replacement internet files
  • Form 8655
