Troubleshoot missing data using color

If some of the data is missing in your custom report, you'll need to locate which row is incorrect.
While editing a report, using color coding to isolate rows will help differentiate any missing information. The following example illustrates using color coding in nested repeating levels.  Notice each color designates a different section of the report.

When previewing the report, the missing data in the yellow row reveals there is a possible issue with rows 12 and 13.
In this report, the conditional expression was formatted incorrectly.  Once the correction is applied, the report will display the missing data.
The color coding can be removed when the edits are complete.
Use the following steps to add color to the rows in a report.
  1. In the design grid, select the row that you want to change the color.
  2. Go to the Formatting Toolbar and select a fill color for the cell background from the available color palette.
  3. Save the report changes by selecting
    File
    , then
    Save As
    .
