Update the Client Access Processing Notifications portlet

To view actions completed by client staff in Accounting CS Client Access, select
View
, then
Firm Dashboard
and use the
Client Access Processing Notifications
portlet. This portlet shows notifications for events like:
  • Changing the posting period
  • Entering batch payroll checks
  • Adding notes to transactions
  • Finalizing bank account reconciliations
Follow these steps to assign an event to a staff member and to change the status of an event.
  1. By default, the
    Client Access Processing Notifications
    portlet shows all unassigned notifications. To filter these notifications, use the primary screen filter. The selected filter determines which notifications will display.
    • Not Reviewed Notifications
    • In Review Notifications
    • Dismissed Notifications
    • Unassigned Notifications
    • Not Reviewed and In Review Notifications
  2. Review each notification's information, including the client ID and name, the action taken at the client's office, the staff member who completed it, the date and time of the action, and the action details.
  3. In the
    Staff Assignment
    field, select the staff member to review the event. The dropdown shows all staff members who have access to the client related to the notification.
  4. Each new notification is set to
    Not reviewed
    by default. You can change the status to
    In review
    or
    Dismissed
    .
  5. Select the ellipsis in the last column of an event to open the
    Notification Details
    window. Here, you can add detailed notes, assign the event to a staff member, and change its status. Any changes made in the
    Assigned to
    or
    Status
    fields will update the grid in the Client Access Processing Notifications portlet.
