Restore a prior version of a document

You may need to restore a previous version of a document in AdvanceFlow if you notice a mistake or issue with the file. AdvanceFlow Support may be able to provide a previously saved version of a document.
  1. Open the
    Workpapers
    tab and find the document you need to restore.
  2. Right-click the workpaper reference and choose
    Properties
    .
  3. Select the
    GoFileRoom
    button and make note of the ten-character document ID.
  4. Select
    History
    .
  5. Find the
    date or time stamp
    you want to restore the file to.
    • Support can usually restore a copy of document from a date or timestamp when the history shows a
      Saved Document
      action.
    • If the history shows a staff member edited the document followed by an
      Undo Changes
      action, the document cannot be restored to that specific date or timestamp.
  6. Contact AdvanceFlow Support and and provide the document ID and date or timestamp you would like the document restored to.
    • The newly restored document is automatically saved into your firm's GoFileRoom database using the same indexes as the original document, with a new document ID.
    • If the document should be part of an AdvanceFlow engagement, you will also need to add the newly restored document to the engagement in AdvanceFlow.
