Add ProSystem fx Tax as a vendor in engagements

You can export trial balance data from Engagement Manager and import into ProSystem fx Tax or CCH Axcess Tax. Before you can do that, you'll have to add it as a vendor in Engagement Manager. Follow these steps to get started.
  1. Sign in to Engagement Manager.
  2. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Firm Settings
    .
  3. Under Tax Information, mark the
    ProSystem fx Tax
    checkbox, then select
    Save
    .
  4. Return to the
    Engagement dashboard
    and select an engagement to view it.
  5. Select the
    Properties
    tab on the navigation pane.
  6. Select
    ProSystem fx Tax
    from the
    Vendor
    dropdown list.
  7. Select
    Save
    .

Export trial balance to ProSystem fx Tax

Before you import your Engagement Manager balances, make sure ProSystem fx Tax is selected as a vendor for your engagement.
You can export trial balance data from your engagement to import into ProSystem fx Tax.
  1. On the Engagement dashboard, select the name of the engagement you want to export.
  2. On the Trial Balance tab, select
    Data
    , then select
    Export
    .
  3. Choose the type of data you want to export.
  4. Select
    OK
    and choose a location to save your data.
  5. In ProSystem fx Tax, select
    File
    then
    Import
    .
  6. Select
    G/L Bridge – other (Generic Processing)
    .
  7. Select
    Import File
    .
  8. Select
    Return
    .
  9. Select
    ID#
    .
  10. Select
    Process
    .
  11. Select
    Recalculate
    , also referred to as 1+1=2.

Import data to CCH Axcess Tax

For information on the import procedure in CCH Axcess Tax, review the documentation on the CCH support website.
  1. When importing trial balance data into CCH Axcess, you should choose Other (Generic Processing) option in the G/L Bridge Select accounting system screen.
