Journal entry redesign
We've redesigned the
Journal entry
screen to improve your experience. It's now easier and faster, with the following improvements:
Switch between old and new journal entries views for flexibility.
Distinct columns for Debit and Credit with balance indicators.
Improved balance status indicators quickly identifying out-of-balance or draft entries.
Automatic saving of journal entries when the screen is closed.
Optional save button at the bottom of the journal entry.
Enhanced type-ahead search in the account column by account number or description.
Account grouping columns in the search account window for efficient account finding.
Trial balance shortcut button to open in a new window without closing the journal entries screen.
Full-screen form for adding and editing journal entries instead of a splitter panel.
The list of distributions now expands continuously and utilizes the page scroll to display more accounts simultaneously.
Deletion of multiple journal entries simultaneously.
Improved screen reader support and keyboard navigation.
Removal of right-click menu; actions column added to the distributions grid.
Modernized screen components consistent with Thomson Reuters' design system including a new title bar, left navigation, and home dashboard.

Ideas and suggestions moving to TR communities

Client Communication
You can add documents directly to placeholders in the
Workpapers
tab.
The
Send to Workpapers
modal shows all placeholder workpapers and folder structure. The reference field auto-populates for existing workpapers.
Progress is visible when attaching documents to placeholders in Workpapers.
Miscellaneous issues resolved
Audit Intelligence Analyze
Samples now match the entered sample size when excluding items in other audit areas for Revenue.
The Trial Balance grid fully replaces previous imports with the latest data.
Cash files are successfully retrieved and updated with the opening balance.
Outlier detection RIT now provides accurate risk scores even if the posting timestamp is null.
Accounts with no activity are displayed under the
Accounts with No Activity
tab.
After setting up RIT, the firm's unit balance displays correctly on the Overview page.
Sending workpapers from the Overview page in Account Payable is functioning without errors.
Client Communication
Attached and original workpaper names match consistently.
Client forms in GA Engagement now display clear information and are fully editable.
The cancel button on sending documents to the Workpaper Tab properly prevents transfers.
The “During Finalize” property now updates correctly when Workpapers are sent.
The “Rollforward” property updates accurately in the Communication tab when sending Workpapers.
Editing client contacts properly displays success or error alerts.
Corrected corresponding alerts when editing, saving, and sending requests.

Workpaper issues
Performance improvements for the Groupings, Imports, Trial Balance configurations, and deletions.
Restrictions are in place to prevent deletion of folders with GA documents in finalized engagements.
Workpapers are permanently deleted when selected during the finalize engagement wizard.
The user assignment option is now correctly inactive for checked-out workpapers.
Report types extra columns render correctly in the preview pane if checked to fit the page.
Upgraded to the latest version of the PDF application for improved functionality.
Optimized Excel document previews to prevent character cutoff when zooming.
The Workpaper edit button is now inactive after the workpaper is locked.
Document view mode now consistently displays correct dates that align with engagement dates.
Blank Reference name updates in workpapers are now restricted.
The notes report correctly matches the notes list view date and hour of creation, adjusted to the user's time zone.
Trial Balance issues
Divisional rounding account selection now saves correctly when updating accounts beneath an empty row in both WBS and SOA.
Extra tax codes M3801B and M3801C are no longer displayed when creating a new engagement.
Server errors during the import of custom account grouping codes and subcodes in TB are resolved.
Applied indents when on the
Setup funds
screen, depending on the level structure.
Account type display is corrected when importing sheets from Trial Balance in SOA.
Guided Assurance integration issues
Removed an improper error message when successfully deleting a Guided Assurance Engagement template.
Attached and original workpaper names are now consistent in the
Communications
tab.
Deletion of GA engagements from the recycle bin is now functioning correctly.
Created APIs to efficiently retrieve workpaper reference ID numbers for Guided Assurance.
General issues
Corrected the date displayed on the breadcrumb when creating a consolidated and tax engagement.
The SMART PPC desktop application now displays the correct host: Engagement Manager.
Selected account now correctly fills into the intended row during journal entry edits.
Corrected overlapping and displayed elements from the notifications panel.
Resolved alert messages when successfully concluding the Confirmation setup.
Restored error message when attempting to delete checked-out workpapers.
Corrected the display so that checked-out workpapers don’t appear when finalized.
The
Edit document
window now closes automatically once the document is opened for editing.
Repaired the
manage column
dropdown selection values on the engagement dashboard.
Implemented alerts when trying to add multiple signoff types with the same descriptions.
Restored completion date, report release date, and received date in the notification panel.
