Customize trial balance views

In Engagement Manager, you can add custom trial balance views to display the information you want to see in the format that fits your needs. You can also import customized trial balance views from other engagements.

Add a trial balance view

  1. In the
    Trial Balance
     tab of the engagement, select
    Setup
    .
  2. Select
    Views
    , then select
    Add view
    .
    note
    Engagement Manager displays the same columns as the currently selected trial balance when you add a new view. You can delete or move the existing columns as needed.
  3. Enter a name for the new view, then select
    Save
    .
    note
    • For a divisional client, you can create separate views by division or combination of divisions.
    • For a fund client, you can create separate views by category, type, or fund or a combination of the 3.

Change column settings in a trial balance view

  1. In the
    Trial Balance
     tab, select
    Setup
    , then
    Views
    .
  2. Select the view you want to make changes to.
  3. Select a column in the
    Visible columns
     section, and use the options in the
    Column properties
     section to make changes.
  4. Select
    Save
     when you're finished.

Add a column to a trial balance view

  1. In the
    Trial Balance
     tab, select
    Setup
    , then
    Views
    .
  2. Select the view you want to add a column to.
  3. Select
    Add
     in the
    Visible columns
     section.
  4. Choose a
    Column type
     in the
    Column properties
     section.
  5. Select
    Save
     when you're finished.

Delete a column in a trial balance view

  1. In the
    Trial Balance
     tab, select
    Setup
    ,
    Views
    .
  2. Select the view you want to delete a column from.
  3. Select the column you want to delete in the
    Visible columns
     section, then
    Delete
    .
  4. Select
    Save
     when you're finished.
