    Repair
. Depending on your security configuration, you may be prompted to enter the master password before you can open the
    Repair
    dialog.
  3. Highlight the original client in the list (not the copy created in Step 1) and select
    Decompress Client
    .
  4. Verify that the correct Client ID is displayed in the
    Client ID
    field.
  5. Select the
Delete most recent year-end files button
    .

    File
    , then
    Select Period to Process

    button.
If assets were already entered in the current year, they’ll need to be copied from the client created in Step 1 by taking the following steps.
  1. Open the client that was created in the previous step 1.
  2. Select the
    In Service
    heading in the
    Asset List
window. All of the assets placed in service in the current year will appear sequentially in the asset list.
  3. Highlight all the current year additions by selecting the 1st asset placed in service in the current year, holding down the Shift key on your keyboard and choosing the last asset.
  4. Select
    Edit
    , then
    Copy Asset
    .
  5. Open the original client, access the activity, select
    Edit
    , then
    Paste Asset
. If assets need to be copied from multiple activities, repeat steps 2 – 5 for each activity. In addition, only 1,000 assets can be copied at once. If more than 1,000 assets need to be copied from any activity, they must be copied in groups of 1,000 or fewer assets.
