Cannot find C:\WinCSI\Tools\CSLP.exe

Cause

There are 2 reasons this error may occur. Review the following items to work through the error and find the proper resolution.

Solutions

Location cited in error vs. proper location
Review the path displayed in the error message and make sure it lines up with the location of the product installation. If it doesn't, the path may need to be updated in a settings file:
  1. Browse to X:\WinCSI\Tools\ where X:\ is equivalent to the drive letter the program is installed on.
  2. Open the
    CSITOOLS.TXT
    file in a text editor.
  3. Confirm the path shown in the text file matches the location of the installed product's WinCSI\Tools\CSLP.exe. Most often users report the path in the file shows
    C:\WinCSI\Tools\CSLP.exe
    when it should point to a server-based location. Update the path to point to the correct server and file location.
  4. Save and close the text file.
  5. Reattempt the steps leading up to error to confirm resolution.
CSLP.exe doesn't exist under the installation path
If browsing out and correcting the path in the steps above still yields the same error, the cslp.exe file may not exist. Complete the steps below to confirm:
  1. Browse to X:\WinCSI\Tools\ where X:\ is equivalent to the drive letter the program is installed on.
  2. Confirm whether or not the CSLP.exe file exists.
  3. If it does exist but an error is still received, review permissions to the file or check for clerical error when the CSITOOLS.TXT was edited in the section above.
If these steps reveal that the CSLP.exe file is missing, that indicates an incomplete install. As such, you'll need to reinstall to acquire the missing file, and most likely several other files that are also missing.
