Error: This asset number does not exist

Scenario

You may get the following error message when there's no asset number that corresponds to the number entered in the
Search
field on the toolbar. It also shows when you try to renumber an asset using the incorrect data entry field.

Solution

Follow these steps to renumber an asset.
  1. Open the client.
  2. In the
    Asset List
    window, select an activity folder.
  3. Select the asset you want to renumber and select
    Modify
    .
  4. Highlight the number in the
    Asset #
    field, then enter a new number that hasn’t already been assigned to an asset in this activity.
  5. Select
    Done
    .
