System requirements for
Fixed Assets

There are minimum and recommended specs your computer will need to use
Fixed Assets
.

Hardware requirements

  • Intel or AMD 2 Ghz 64-bit processor at minimum. We recommend Intel or AMD 64-bit multi-core processor.
  • At least 4GB of RAM. We recommend 8 GB or more.
  • At least a 15" monitor with 1024x768 resolution. We recommend a 17" monitor with a minimum resolution of 1280x1024.
  • At least 500MB of disk space for all modules. Actual space requirements will vary based on modules you have installed, the number and complexity of clients, and the amount of historical data you retain.
  • You need a broadband or persistent, high-speed internet connection to download software installations, updates and licenses, and to access user bulletins and Help and Support. We recommend a dedicated, high-speed connection.
  • A Windows-supported printer capable of data compression and at least 2 MB of memory; we recommend 16 MB of memory.

Software requirements

  • Your operating system needs to be the 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 11, Windows 10, Server 2022, Server 2019, or Server 2016.
  • Your default internet browser needs to be Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.
  • You'll need the 32-bit version of Microsoft 365 Office, 2021, 2019, or 2016 to integrate with Office applications and other features. Office 365 works when the Office desktop applications are installed on the local computer.
  • You'll need a MAPI-compliant email client to use email features.
  • You'll need Adobe Reader DC or higher to view PDF files.

Network requirements

You must use Windows server 2022, 2019, or 2016, and it must be a full installation. We don't support core installations, because they don't install .NET components. Additionally, we don't recommend wireless networks for use with any CS Professional Suite application.
Unless they allow for a Windows host control, we don't support network attached storage (NAS) devices as file servers, because they don't meet the requirement of using a Windows operating system. NAS devices often use proprietary operating systems that may not handle file locking properly and may cause data corruption and/or performance issues.
