Integration with other applications

Some Fixed Assets CS features integrate with other CS Professional Suite applications, Thomson Reuters applications, and with third-party applications, such as Microsoft Excel.

CS Professional Suite applications that integrate directly with Fixed Assets CS

  • Accounting CS: You can import Fixed Assets CS journal entries.
  • FileCabinet CS
    • You can print most client-related documents, like reports and forms, to FileCabinet CS for storage.
    • You can back up or archive a variety of items, including custom methods, custom reports, and system settings.
    • You can enter client notes in Fixed Assets CS and make them available in FileCabinet CS too.
  • Practice CS: You can enter client notes in Fixed Assets CS and make them available in Practice CS.
  • UltraTax CS
    • You can share a client's asset information between UltraTax CS and Fixed Assets CS if the client ID is identical in both applications.
    • You can enter client notes in Fixed Assets CS and make them available in UltraTax CS.
    • You can include Fixed Assets CS reports in either the client or preparer tax return collation.
    noteIf you're licensed for UltraTax / 1040 Client Organizer and NetClient CS, you can use the web client organizer to get tax and asset information from your clients via a private, secure web portal.
  • Workpapers CS: You can import Fixed Assets CS journal entries.

Other Thomson Reuters applications that integrate with Fixed Assets CS

  • Onvio Documents: You can send reports, forms, and other documents from 2014 Fixed Assets CS or later to Onvio Documents
  • Checkpoint: You can sign in to Checkpoint's online tax and research service from within Fixed Assets CS.
  • GoFileRoom: You can print reports and forms for storage in GoFileRoom.
  • GoSystem Tax RS: You can create a depreciation export file for GoSystem Tax RS.

Third-Party applications that integrate with Fixed Assets CS

  • Microsoft Excel
    • You can export journal entries and reports to a Microsoft Excel file.
    • You can import asset data from a Microsoft Excel file.
  • You can import asset data from an ASCII file exported from another application that we've committed to converting to Fixed Assets CS.
  • You can export asset data to a file (DIF, ASCII, and XLS) for use with many other applications.
