Change / Choose Data Location dialog

Use this dialog to specify which data location you want to use.
The Change Data Location dialog opens automatically in the following situations.
  • after you add a data location in the Setup, System Configuration, and then Data Locations tab.
  • when you choose a different data location for Fixed Assets CS or FileCabinet CS (if licensed) in the Setup, User Preferences, and then File Locations tab.
The Choose Data Location dialog opens automatically in the following situations.
  • the first time Fixed Assets CS is opened on each computer if additional firm data locations have been set up in the Setup, System Configuration, and then Data Locations tab and the current user has not already selected a data path to use.
  • when you select
    OK
     in the System Configuration dialog after adding a data location.

Fields & buttons

Choose the group of data locations you want to use for processing from the drop-down list. All locations entered in the System Configuration / Data Locations tab are included in this list.
This field displays the Fixed Assets CS data path that is associated with the data location selected in the Data location drop-down list.
This field displays the FileCabinet CS data path that is associated with the data location selected in the Data location drop-down list.
