Asset Detail > Transfer tab

Use the
Transfer
 tab of the
Asset Detail
 window to transfer an asset to a different activity or to 1 of 4 associations within the same activity. Eligible associations include: cost center, department, division, and location.
Access the
Transfer
 tab by selecting
Add
 or
Modify
 in the
Asset List
 window, and then selecting the
Transfer
 tab in the
Asset Detail
 window.

Fields & buttons

Transfer-Out group box
Enter the date the asset was transferred to another activity or to a different association within the same activity.
Select either
Activity
 or an association from the dropdown list. Assets can be transferred to a different activity or to one of four associations within the same activity. Eligible associations include: cost center, department, division, and location.
This field displays the name of the activity or association for the current asset. The entry in this field depends on the selection in
Type of transfer
.
Select the activity or association to which you want to transfer the current asset. The options available in the dropdown list depend on the selection in
Type of transfer
.
New asset information group box
This field displays the new asset number once the transfer is complete.
Select a treatment from the dropdown list to view the cost/basis and total depreciation for the new asset.
This field displays the amount entered in
Cost/Basis
 in the
Depreciation
 tab for the selected treatment.
This field displays the amount entered in
Prior Depreciation
 in the
Depreciation
 tab for the selected treatment.
Transfer-In group box
This field displays the date the current asset was transferred.
This field displays the type of transfer that took place for the current asset.

This field displays the name of the activity or association from which the asset was transferred.
This field displays the name of the activity or association to which the asset was transferred.
Original asset information group box
This field displays the asset number of the original asset.
Select a treatment from the dropdown list to view the cost/basis and total depreciation for the original asset.
This field displays the amount entered in
Cost/Basis
 in the
Depreciation
 tab for the selected treatment.
This field displays the amount entered in
Prior Depreciation
 in the
Depreciation
 tab for the selected treatment.
