Adobe Acrobat add-in (Part of the GoFileRoom Add-In)

An Adobe Acrobat add-in is available for GoFileRoom that allows you to do the following:
  • Print to GoFileRoom from any application in PDF format.
  • Add and view Adobe Acrobat annotations to PDF documents stored in GoFileRoom.
  • Edit PDF documents stored in GoFileRoom. For example, you can insert and delete pages and edit bookmarks.
  • Upload local PDF documents to GoFileRoom.
  • Use the Windows Explorer Send To GoFileRoom feature, to quickly import documents into GoFileRoom.
  • Use the GoFileRoom TaxTools menu in Acrobat.
  • Use the TaxSort feedback feature (if applicable)
The Adobe add-in feature is installed part of the GoFileRoom Add-In installation.
tip
If this is a new Adobe installation or 1st time sign-in to Adobe Acrobat, it may be required to exit the Adobe application and re-open. Restarting Adobe after initial Sign-in is required to refresh available Add-ons and user preference edits to take effect.
If you're an IT admin for GoFileRoom, it may be required to configure this add-in for a network or remote machine. This can be done by editing settings in the GFRPDFModify.ini file. You can find this file in C:\ProgramData\gofileroom\GFRAcrobat.
The most common settings are:
  • Updating the UseGFRUpload value to
    true
    if your're planning on using this add-in with the Upload Documents Service.

    If the Upload Documents Service is installed locally (as is sometimes the case with dedicated scan stations and laptops), you must verify that the Network value is set to
    false
    . If the Upload Documents service is installed on a network server or remote machine, you must verify that the Network value is set to
    true
    .
  • Changing the calculator that opens from the GoFileRoom TaxTools menu in Acrobat. To do this, update the file path in the CALCULATOR row to point to the desired calculator's EXE file.
