Make changes to scanned documents before uploading to GoFileRoom

You can make changes to documents scanned with ScanFlow before you upload them to GoFileRoom, such as adding or deleting a document or document pages, moving pages, separating non-recognized barcode pages, or rotating pages.

Scan additional documents to a batch

Follow these steps to add documents to a batch.
  1. Generate a new barcode cover sheet and put it and the document you want to add in the scanner feeder.
  2. Select GoFileRoom batch scan
  3. Select
    Create new document
    , then
    OK
    to open your scanner application.
  4. Scan the document.

Scan an additional page to a document

Follow these steps to add pages to a document in your batch.
  1. In the Acrobat Bookmarks pane, select a bookmark close to where you want the new page to appear.
  2. Put the additional page you want to add in the scanner feeder.
  3. Select GoFileRoom batch scan
  4. Select the option for the position of the scanned page in the document and select
    OK
    .
  5. Scan the additional page.

Import new documents to a new batch

If you're using a multi-function printer to scan documents to TIFF files before uploading them to GoFileRoom, follow these steps to add pages to a document in a new batch.
  1. Select Import documents into batch scan
  2. Select the option for the position of the new page in the document, then
    OK
    .
  3. Scan the new document.
  4. In the GoFileRoom Batch Import window, select
    Add Documents
    .
  5. Select the TIFF files containing the documents you want to import, then
    Open
    .
  6. In the list of files to be imported, you can move, delete, or re-order files.
  7. Select
    Import
    .

Import documents to an existing batch

Follow these steps to add pages to a document in an existing batch.
  1. Select Batch import
  2. Select
    Create new document
    and import the new document.

Import additional pages to a document

Follow these steps to import additional pages to a document in a batch.
  1. In the Acrobat Bookmarks pane, select the bookmark for the page that will be next to the additional pages.
  2. Select GoFileRoom batch scan
  3. Select the option for the position of the additional pages, then
    OK
    .
  4. Import the additional pages.

Delete a document from a batch

Follow these steps to delete a document from a batch.
  1. In the Acrobat Bookmarks pane, select the bookmark of the barcode cover sheet of the document you want to delete.
  2. Right-click and select
    Delete
    .

Delete a page from a document

Follow these steps to delete a page from a batch document.
  1. In the Acrobat Bookmarks pane, select the bookmark for the page of the document you want to delete.
  2. Right-click and select
    Delete
    .

Move pages in a document

You can move pages in a document by dragging and dropping them in the Acrobat Bookmarks pane.

Separate a document

Occasionally, a barcode cover sheet isn't recognized during the scanning process and included in the preceding document. You can use the Create New Document feature to separate this document.
  1. In the Acrobat Bookmarks pane, select the barcode that wasn't recognized.
  2. Select
    Create New Document
    .
  3. Select
    Yes
    to confirm.
  4. Enter the document ID on the selected barcode cover sheet then select
    OK
    .
  5. Select
    OK
    to confirm.

Rotate a page

  1. In the Acrobat Bookmarks pane, select the page you want to rotate.
  2. Select
    Document
    ,
    Pages
    ,
    Rotate
    , and choose from the available options.
  3. Select
    OK
    when you're finished.

Retrieve a backup batch

If a batch is scanned but not uploaded, ScanFlow puts it in a backup directory and retains it for 7 days. The retention time period can be modified by administrators for any local GoFileRoom user who scans documents with ScanFlow.
Go to
C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Roaming\GoFileRoom\GFRScanflow\Backup
to find the backup directory of scanned documents. Double-click a file to display it in Acrobat.

Troubleshoot scanning errors

When an error occurs during the scanning process, ScanFlow displays a Scanning Error window that includes information and options for how to proceed.
