Add links to network files from GoFileRoom

Follow these steps to add links to network files from GoFileRoom. For example, you can add a backup of a QuickBook file for your client or a website that your client use.
  1. Select
    Add Documents
    link in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
  2. Enter your index information including any required fields.
  3. Select
    Add File Link
    .
  4. Select
    Choose File
    , locate and open the file you want to link, then select
    OK

    • File links appear in GoFileRoom as records and are indicated by icons such as HTML on the Classic Search screen and  linked to document on the Document Search screen.
    • You can manage File links can as you do all other documents stored in GoFileRoom but with limited functionality.
    • File links in GoFileRoom can be copied, moved, re-indexed, deleted, and edited.
    • Editing of networked file links requires the installation of the latest version of the GoFileRoom Add-In for Adobe Acrobat, available from the GoFileRoom Add-Ins screen.
