Prepare ProSystem fx returns for conversion to GoSystem Tax

For ProSystem fx returns, you need to copy the data files from the local ProSystem fx directory to a temporary folder.
  1. Create a folder on your computer or server to save the return data to. This folder needs to be somewhere you can easily access.
  2. Navigate to 
    X:\WFX32\CLIENT
     where X is the drive ProSystem fx is installed.
  3. Copy the folder for each entity you want to convert and paste them in the folder you created in Step 1. For example, to convert all 1040 clients copy the 23I folder to the new folder.

  4. After you copy/paste the data folders, make sure the new folder from Step 1 contains a separate folder for each entity.
  5. "Zip up the folder(s) to which you copied your firm's client data and note the location of the zip file. Also the note under the step. When you zip up folders, do not assign a password to the ZIP file or encrypt the ZIP file. Secure Data Exchange automatically encrypts all data. Password-protected ZIP files will not be accepted.
