Set up multi-factor authentication on your device

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a safe way to access your information from myPay Solutions. It adds an extra layer of identity verification and protection to your data.
MFA gives notification on your smartphone or tablet, ensuring that only you can access your company and personal information.

Set up MFA on your smartphone or tablet

Download and install the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app in any device running either Android or Apple IOS.
  1. Search and download the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app to your device.
  2. Sign in to myPay Solutions, then select your name.
  3. Select Manage
    Multi-factor Authentication
    from the dropdown menu.
  4. Select
    Add Option
    .
  5. Enter your password again to confirm.
  6. Select
    Get Started
    on the MFA set-up screen.
  7. Open the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app on your device. Select
    Next
    on your computer.
  8. Select the Scan QR Code button in the app on your device and hold the phone in front of your computer screen to scan the image that displays. This is a one-time step.
  9. Once turned on, MFA displays immediately after you sign in to myPay Solutions.
    note
    If you wait too long between signing in to your portal online and approving the notification on your phone, the authentication will time out. Select the
    Resend it
    link to resend the notification to your phone.
  10. Select the green checkmark on your phone to confirm.
    note
    If you have limited mobile data in your area, the notification may not appear. In this case, select the
    Enter a code
    link. Then, open the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app on your phone and select
    Generate a code
    . Enter the code on your computer.

Pair multiple MFA devices

You can pair more than 1 MFA device with your myPay Solutions sign in credentials. This ensures that you won't get locked out of your applications if you lose or can't access your primary device.
Follow these steps to add an extra MFA device to your account:
  1. Search and download the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app to the new device you want to pair with your account.
  2. Sign in to myPay Solutions, then select your name.
  3. Select
    Manage Multi-factor Authentication
    from the dropdown menu.

    You'll find a list of previously paired MFA devices.
  4. Select
    Add Option
    .
  5. Enter your password again to confirm.
  6. Follow the prompts in the wizard to pair the device with your account.

Pair multiple myPay Solutions credentials

Use the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app to pair multiple myPay Solutions sign-in credentials to a single MFA device.
  1. Open the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app.
  2. Select the gear icon to open the app settings.
  3. Select
    Add Account
    and follow the steps to link multiple sign-in credentials to the same smart device.

Transfer MFA to a new device

Follow these steps to transfer MFA to a new device.
  1. Sign in to myPay Solutions, then select your name.
  2. Select
    Manage Multi-factor Authentication
    from the dropdown menu.

    Your previously paired MFA devices are listed here.
  3. Select
    Remove
    .
  4. Enter your password to remove a paired device.
  5. Select
    Add Option
    to add a new MFA device.
  6. Enter your password again to confirm.
  7. Follow the prompts in the wizard to pair a new device with your account.
